| Alton Towers is the UK's best theme park and contains one of the best roller coasters in the world. It is located in the heart of Staffordshire and due to strict planning permission, no ride must be able to be seen above tree line. This meant for a challenge, but Alton Towers used original ideas so that the park would still stun thrill seekers and families everywhere. Alton Towers is now a 'smoke free' theme park, but there are designated areas in the park, they are marked as 'S' on the map above. Alton Towers is now closed for the 2008 season. |
