Dueling Dragons consists of two roller coasters which continuously duel. Riders' feet come within 12 inches of the riders on the other train during the ride.

Whilst walking around the usually short/empty queue line, you will be shown the story of the dragons and why they battle it out in the sky. Upon arriving at the end of the queue, you will be faced with a sign, "Choose thy fate, fire or ice." This is where you decide as to whether you want to ride fire or ice. Left turns to fire and right to ice. Whether or not the trains are dispatched from the station at the same time, the trains will still duel. The train that is ahead will slow down or stop on the lifthill and wait for the other to catch up.

There are three near miss inversions during the circuit, the first being when fire goes over ice, whilst ice is doing a twist! The second is the most famous, the dueling vertical loops, this is where riders become closest to their competitors. The last is when the trains take interlocking corkscrews, under and over each other.

Dueling Dragons is an exceptional ride which should always be ridden if in Orlando. Nothing will beat the front seats on any ride for frights and thrills and seeing another train hurtle towards you at over 60mph!
