Montu, once
the tallest inverted coaster in the world, is an excellent addition
to Busch Gardens. It is extremely likely that this is the first
ride that you see when entering Busch Gardens as its first drop
faces the car park. It is very intimidating as it stands 138ft
above the ground above Egypt. It has 7 inversions and uses ground
effect extremely well.
The
ride starts with a dip to the right before the 138ft lifthill. Once
at the top the ride takes a large swooping drop to the left before
a large vertical loop, after a tunnel an immelmann loop follows,
then a Zero G roll before a batwing inversion. The block brakes
follow before another drop and another loop, helix after helix before
a corkscrew and a turn into the final brakes.
Montu
is an amazing ride and definitely shouldn't be missed. Due to it's
normally short queues we suggest that you queue the extra time for
the front, much better than anywhere else on the train. |
